First Review
I just returned a Swift 685m 3x-9x40AO.
I would rate this model light/light-medium recoil. I am basing this on my
experience only.
I had the scope on a tuned and un-tuned Webley Xocet. The crosshairs broke after
40ish shots on the tuned gun. The tuned gun does have a much sharper recoil than
the un-tuned gun. I am not sure if this bumps the tuned gun up to heavy recoil
status.
I purchased the scope from a friend who returned it after his stock HW97 ate the
crosshairs.
According to Swift (as per my conversation with them yesterday) they do not
repair returned scopes, replacement only is their policy.
Despite my experience I love this scope. The optics are bright and clear. I have
no problems with focus to 7.5 yards.
Good/Great is my overall rating. Swift has a lifetime replacement policy; can't
go wrong.
Hope this was helpful,
Brian Grassi
Second Review
I
think out of all the guns and scopes I have the Swift 3x9x40 AO has been a
problem all around. I've seen several different ones break and read many
stories on the forums about them failing. At best I would call this a light
recoil scope.
Just my experiences,
Robert Naylor
