wanted a clamp that could be rotated and moved would not cost alot of money and was heavy enough to create a stable work station. Wanting several vises for multiple projects or so not to have to reclamp them. The ability two use a pair on the same rifle if needed. setting them aside in a safe manner with the rifle in them. Got the idea looking at my drill press vises.
