Well we shot another hot one here in Alabama last Saturday. Had some new folks out trying the course for the first time. Shannon Roberts and his son Harrison came out for the first time and I think we created a monster! Harrison shot an outstanding 40/60 his first time out, not only besting his pop but a few other shooters as well. Another new comer was Seth Trivett. He shot with my son Ben in the recoiling division. Ben and Seth have joined the Marine Corps and will be shipping out for bootcamp next summer. Both are also responding well to coaching and should see their scores continue to rise.
It was great seeing everyone and having to opportunity to coach Harrison throughout the match. Introducing these young people to shooting sports is what it’s all about. We just shared a rifle and went at it.
