Well our first match certainly met/ exceeded my expectations. Almost everyone I reached out to was able to take some time out of their normal Saturday routine to come and join us on our new property.

The day started off a little warm and progressively got warmer. I believe the highest was a couple degrees over 100. Luckily a short line of eucalyptus trees was able to provide shade for about 80-90% of the shots on the course. Shooters were showing up as early as 7:35 to help with setup, it was much appreciated. As well as the shooters rhat helped in the take down it made my job a lot easier after the match.

The highest difficulty target was marked at 40 troyer and the overall match was 32t before wind. A switching wind made the course a little more difficult, but the 25% adjustment seems like a little much. Most targets 35+ yards away had a trend of impacts towards the left of the kz and faceplate.

The hardest shots on the course by general consensus was the second forced position lane. Three moderately sized targets inside of the barn were all under 18 yards, IF you could see them. I personally had to drop from 40x to 10x just trying to get a visual.

Big shout out to my parents for the amazing lunch which consisted of pulled pork, pork ribs, coleslaw, potato salad, fruit salad and a few other goodies. During lunch also celebrated our good friend Lonnie Smith's birthday with chocolate cake and homemade ice cream.

We also had our friend John Knapp representing CASA make a five hour drive early Saturday just to shoot at our first match. And he certainly did his club proud.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our first match. It meant a lot and we really hope you had a great time.

What a great time and venue. Thank you so much for the invite and all your hard work setting it up.  Your parents put on quite the spread for the motley crew, thanks to them too. Cant wait for the next match and cooler weather...

Thank you, Jessica, your Mom and Dad for a really fun day.  Great food, Great fun, Great friends, Great venue. What more could you ask for (maybe 75 degrees ? )? I look forward to many more fun days at the "Ranch".

Cameron,

Thank you for your hospitality and a well run match. The food was out standing! I enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting other competitors...what a great bunch. For you first match as a Director you and your family did outstanding job, evening if those barn targets were a bit dark.
