Just a quick question, can anyone tell me what the diameter of the transfer port is on a .22 caliber R1?

Not 100% sure but I think transfer port designs for all HW's are identical for all caliber variants of a given model. Diameter for R1 .177 is the same as the R1 .25... I'm no mechanical engineer but it seems like its a matter of economics? I can't help but feel varying (tuning) port size for different calibers would benefit, from a performance standpoint. As it stands, it does make barrel/caliber changes easy enough without any great performance penalty. Don't know R1 port size, sorry.
Maybe someone else knows if this 'economical' principle is applied from other or all manufactures.
Take this for what it's worth as I don't own an R1! But I believe HW is using 3mm transfer ports these days.
