R-1 & TX trigger guards

could someone post photos of TX & R-1 trigger guards off of the rifles? I have 1 of each & have no way to tell which is which. 

Maybe these will help. This is the guard from an HW35 which, according to Chambers, is the same guard as used on the R1/HW80.

Jim is correct, the guard shown above is the standard Weihrauch trigger guard used on all Weihrauch springers. 

I have 2 venom/maccari brass guards & I can't remember which these are & do not have access to either rifle to compare them to. i'd like to i.d. them so I can sell them. looking at the photos these might be for a TX

Don't know if it will help but, I measured the length and width of my HW guard. The length is roughly 3 & 1/4" and it's about 9/16" wide.

Many of the custom makers make their guards so that they sit nearly flush with the surface of the stock. Given that the TX has a deeper belly on the forearm, my guess would be that those are for the TX.

True, but I have a custom Macarri R9 with a trigger guard that looks like these as well. And I think the TX guard is a little wider than these ones (but at the office now and going off of memory). Best bet would be to measure the width, overall length, and the distance between the front and rear screw holes. That would give you something definitive to go off of.

3 3/8" long x 5/8" wide. 2 3/4" ctr to ctr on the holes. these came from maccari. he told me at the time that he was supplying venom with their brass guards.

After seeing Beeman22's comment about the screw holes I pulled my guard back off to measure. The screw holes are 2 & 3/4" ctc. While it was off I got a better measurement on the length and it's just a hair short of 3 & 3/8" long. I still get 9/16" on the width, though.

jim-is that the R-1 guard?

I drug out my machinist rule & it's 1/32" shy of 3 3/8" long. still reads 5/8" wide. has anyone got a TX guard that they could measure?

Zack, the measurements I posted are from my HW35 trigger guard. As Beeman22 mentioned above, HW uses the same guard on all their springers (at least those with the Rekord trigger) including the R1/HW80.

Most likely very similar, never lined them up on both.  I will say, ARH sells an aftermarket HW guard that has the long front like a TX. 

One thing that catches my eye, the TX rear screw hole on mine is counter bored deeper for a socket head cap screw.  The HW, as we all know, has the small slotted oval head machine screw that barely sits flush.

Ok, here's the deal: they are really close. They both have the same hole spacing almost the same overall dimensions. An HW guard will fit on a TX, but there will be a little extra room around the wood. I can't fit my TX guard on one of my R1's though - it's a little too long and a little too wide.  Also worth noting, my aftermarket HW guard is also counter-bored like the TX guard. 

Zack49, looking at your measurements, the length sounds like an HW, but the width, if correct, means it has to be a TX. You might need to measure with a caliper to be sure. 

I've got a factory HW, a factory TX, and an ARH black replacement for HW guns.  These measurements were taken with a caliper and rounded to the nearest 1/32", with actual measurement in parenthesis. Going left to right:

HW factory: 3 7/16 long, 19/32 wide (0.589")

ARH: 3 5/16 long, 19/32 wide (0.590")

TX: 3 5/8 long, just a hair under 5/8 wide (0.623")
