M10 Big Bore Gets a Tactical Stock

Had read about a couple folks modifying a Ruger 10/22 tactical stock and using on various airguns so figured I'd try my hand at it. 

I had my 10/22 in an Archangel stock, but had a spare Ram Lite stock. The Ram Lite was a bit narrow for airgun use so I put it back on the 10/22.

The Archangel stock looked like a straight forward conversion and so I used one of my M10 conversions for the task.  I have one in .25, .30 and .35.   I opted for the .30.

Had to hog out room for the bolt to operate and some minor fitting but it all came together nicely, I think.  I still have some finish work to do on it, but it's functional for now and gives a nice new look to the M10.  I'll plan on a similar conversion for either the .25 or .35 in the future.

Nice conversion Rob. What is the weight after conversion? I like the tactical look. Since you won't part with your .25 (lol), I am in the market for a condor in .25. Best Regards.

Thank you, sir!  The M10 is a very light gun anyway so any weight savings with the modified stock is negligible.  I actually considered adding some weight to it to see if it groups better with some added weight.  Maybe for another day. 

I need to cobble together a bolt for my .25.   I used the .22 bolt probe and put a slightly smaller o ring in the bushing to compensate and it's not as good a solution as I would have hoped, so I think I'll toss the bushing and just do a proper .25 bolt.  Another project for another day!

Thank you, sir.  Cant take credit for the idea, but thinking this may be the only big bore tacticool conversion on the M10 at least in the US.   And.... it was a fun project.

Thank you, sir.   I'm neither here nor there with the tactical look.  On some guns, I like it.. but not hard core about it.  For me, this was simply a project to pass the time.  No utility for me as I'm not crawling through the bushes nor am I trying to scare snowflakes with it. 

Was certainly fun and now that I have a better idea of how all goes, I should be able to do another one in a much shorter amount of time. 

I think my next one will be the .25 once I get the bolt situation squared away.  But may opt for a target tactical type stock on it.  The .35 wears the standard stock, but I've refinished it and rather like it now so will keep it as is. I have noticed that the power has dropped on my .35 from around 115fpe to around 100fpe so I need to look at that now, too.
