Is tune in a tube and the Lucasoil product basically the same?

I've never heard of tune in a tube before. Do you have a link to it so I can read about it?

Okay, got it. Thanks. I'll have to watch for some reviews, because having a springer shoot like it's been tuned typically requires more than just adding a little bit of lubricant.
On the other hand, some makers send there air guns from overseas as dry as a bone. The right lubricant could only help those guns.
I use the Lucas red and tacky grease on my tractors. Seems to be good grease but don't know if it the same as the tube. Looks similar.

Since the proper air gun lubes are so cheap, and last for several tunes, I see no reason to experiment.
i believe they are the same and the makes one cheap and one not so much

you could use a grease gun and a grease needle as an applicator

I have this product already. And was wanting to try it on a old Springer I'm rebuilding.

i would think it will work well as a spring dampening lube and at about 5 bucks a tube why not
When I work(ed) on mud-trucks, I would use Flamingo Brand "Maxima EP" usually bought from Napa.
It literally looks like pink bubblegum, MUCH stickier than Red N' Tacky.
I do get that you have Red N' Tacky already, and want to use that.
But
Now that you mentioned this (thanks BTW) I'll call Napa tomorrow and see if they still carry it.
Wouldn't mind some tune in a tube...
