I wonder if this hamster which is attached on the cocking lever a Prosport will weaken the cocking lever:

That would be Kingplinker's | Dave Dawes's Pro-Sport. IIRC he did some testing before drilling the cocking lever and placing the hamster so as not to weaken it and also prevent resonating through the rifle. Reportedly worked very well for years.
Other solutions entailed modifying the cocking lever.
