Help with AA T200

One of our vets bought an Air Arms T200.  It doesn't fit him.

With the factory sights and the factory stock, he cannot get his head down far enough to see both sights comfortably.  Is there any riser system that will bring the front and rear sights up an inch or so?

Also he is missing the single shot tray and needs a replacement.  I see trays from Europe, but was hoping to order here in the US.

The vet is planning to use this rifle at the Golden Age Games this year, but is required to use open sights and load single shot.  I know he should have probably bought a different rifle....but he didn't.  I am trying to find a way to make this one usable for him.

You can see how open sights would be a problem for an adult.  Even I can't make it work.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hello KW, maybe try the Air Force sight set that they use on there target rifle. Just a thought, or cut the comb down and finish nicely.

A set of AR 15 sights may work.  You would have to get a Picateny  (spelling) adapter for the rear and come up with something for the front.  Those sights can be had for pretty  cheap.

Perhaps an adjustable butt pad would allow a different check weld and therefore different sight pattern. Sorry I know not any mods for raising both sights.

some are cheap then other the large googl search is on the picture side od thing just right click the picture twice

most risers are in the 8mm to 10mm height range, the ones at champions choice are pricey but adjustable and at the height he, you, were looking for

Champion's  Choice has sight risers from Anschutz and Feinwerkbau. Can't say either will fit with 100% certainty, but I think this will start you down the right path.

forgot to mention that in theory, the sight risers are stackable, but there probably wouldn't be enough elevation adjustment in the rear sight to get back on target if you stacked two 13mm risers to get that  1".

I had seen the BKL risers, but so far I can't find any data on the size of the dove tail on the AA sight blocks.  I am trying to do this remotely and dont' have the rifle in hand to measure it.  Don't know if I am looking at standard 11mm or standard 3/8" or some proprietary stuff.

We don't want to cut the stock just yet.  Seems crazy to cut a factory stock.

An adjustable buttpad may be the easiest thing, but even that is problematic since the comb is parallel to the line of sight.  If the comb dropped down at the back it would be easier to adjust.
