Hammerli 850 - crack on top at breech opening/into scope mounting rail

I just noticed my Hammerli 850 magnum .22 has a crack right behind the rotary magazine, on right side, running almost

half way across the scope rail... I bought it a year ago and haven't used it but once, so I don't know if the crack was there

originally or not.  The crack seems to be smooth and made like from a saw blade, except the last bit where it goes into the

top of the scope rail where it looks a little ragged.  I DID DROP THE RIFLE ONCE ONTO A CARPET FLOOR, HITTING ON THE FRONT SIGHT COVERING.

I have seen picture on the net of the loading port right side and it seems like the crack might be normal, but I am worried about

it. I stored it for 14 months with CO2 adapter in it and the gas all leaked out. It was while removing adapter that I dropped it.

Anybody know about the Hammerli 850 and the kerf on right side at top of loading port?

I got one. I can check it tomorrow when I get home. 

That's normal, the 850 action is is built by pancaking the left and right sides together, if you want to email me at: 

njnoodles at verizon dot net, I can send you a picture of the action with one side removed and it will make more sence.

there are plenty of picture on Google on can down load and enlarge, I once thought that was odd also but nothing odd at all

the gas leaking out could be just time or something else,  only new gas  installed will tell and what type of adapter

also the new 850 forum could help with 850 problems and question kind of quite over there since the move so they need to be woken up, post in the camp fire
