Got a beautiful 180 but cannot figure out how to remove the lever safety without screwing up something.

put the safety lever down on the safe position and pull it out and or tap it out from the other side with something like a wood dowel
they can be a PITA to get out and reinstall
There are Video's on You Tube that show removal and re installation.
After you've done it a few times it's easy.
There's a spring loaded plunger that presses down on the safety, use a tiny screw driver to press the plunger up, as you push out the safety.
Screwdriver pushing UP on the plunger is if you want to put the safety back in.
No access to the plunger if the safety is IN, and you're trying to take it out.
That's where you use something to tap it out, as marflow stated.
A wood dowel, or even a pencil with eraser will work.
I use a pencil.
