Crosman 1720

Anyone have a Crosman 1720T?  If so what are your thoughts. I am looking for a carbine tack driver.

I have one and put in a 12 ft/lb transfer port. also have shoulder stock. I had to return 2 shipments before they tested and sent a 3rd. I am very happy about all aspects of it's performance. maybe someday, i'll get a regulator.

it's the lightest 12 ft/lb rifle I own.

Like Don said the 1720 is great. I bought mine used and it has been modified a bit.

A PRod TP and a bit heavier spring has it shooting just below 12fpe with a 7.33 grain JSB pellet to stay within the boudaries of Pistol Field Target.

It is wearing a Rocker1 LDC in addition to furniture from Alchemy Airwerks which includes the wood, a SS safety, trigger guard and all the screws.

I have one as well and it is a tack driver.  It seems to be the gun to beat on the field target course with lots of shooters using them

Bought my 1720T used, and it's an absolute laser that averages sub-1/2" five-shot groups at FT-maximum 35 yards, and sub-3/4" at 50 yards. Now set up for field target at about 12 foot-pounds. I built a Mannlicher fore-end for more muzzle ballast (for shooting from a bipod). Here are the details-

It's a rifle, it's a pistol. You can shoot ft pistol and rifle, and then swack ground squirrels at obscene distances. It fits into a med pack, and with a pickle on the end, no one knows you've shot. 

Regulate it and you've got 30 good shots. Play with the trigger, put an aftermarket shoe on it, and you've got a 10 meter gun.

It really is an amazing little gun that everyone should own.

Nice stock!  Where did you get it from?  I like how compact it is.

That is the Crosman 1399 stock that fits all of their pistols. The cheek-riser was made  by Mike in Ohio. It is solid aluminumand effects the balance quite a bit. In the forearm I melted some .45 caliber lead bullets to offset the weight of the cheek-riser. The whwole package cn shoot right along with most PCP rifles. There is a fellow who who shoots WFTF s a member of the Crosman Team and he uses a 1720T in carbine configuration. I think there may be video on the Crosman site.

Here is a little carbine I built for my wife. Regulated it's getting 30 shots at 11.5 fpe.
