I still love the old color-coded Beeman tins. I've still got a few of them (empty) in really good shape. I grew up going through scores of these tins and always loved the way they looked. To this day, I put a little piece of blue or green painters tape on every tin I have to mark whether it's .177 or .22.
Say, what was the weight of these? I read somewhere that they changed weights or something?
I'm with you on the Beeman pellets. I think one of the greatest things Beeman did was to identify pellets with a color.I continue that on all of mine today. Also got plenty of those Kodiak's. Really great pellet.
I looked in a 1995 Beeman catalog and they list those pellets at 21.10 gr head diameter .217 skirt .227
that was then and what they were later on is unknown to me

I believe Beeman Kodiaks & H&N Baracudas are the same pellet, 21.14 grains?
Yes, Kodiak = Baracuda (the original fr9m H&N)
Thanks marflow for checking on the weight for me.
They certainly have been around for a long time...evidently from the time HW made the ether injected "Baracuda", so call it 60 years. Would be real surprised if there were not some slight weight changes or dimensional changes along the way.
Still a good choice in rifles that happen to shoot them well.
Save the tin....refill it with Baracuda's.
I've been shooting H&R Barracudas for a couple of years now. I get very good accuracy, pellet weight at 31.1 gr is great for pest control at my distances, so I highly recommend them. I've never had one deformed in the tin.
