Anschutz Md. 380

 I picked up a lovely match air rifle at a recent gun show.  It is an Anschutz 360 , what is said to be the last development of the Olympic 10 meter rifles.  It has an internal recoil reducing mechanism that makes it recoil free.  It came without the sights , both front and rear.  It had 11mm. dovetail grooves , so I put rings and scope on it.  I used a Hawke Vantage 3X9 scope.  Like bunching holes precisely in the same place again and again ?  This does it.  I tested it at about 10 yards , and then moved the target out to 25 yards. What fun to shoot ! .

a model 360, it looks like a model 380 and a beauty it is and Anschutz of that model are a rare find

Your right , it is a 380. Typo error. I figure value around $700 . Not very many around , not like the Feinwerkbau 300S which are much more common.

Hello gentlemen. If I may join in your conversation, from what I have learned about the Anschutz LG Match 380, everything the two of you have stated is correct. Many enthusiasts have stated that it is more refined than the venerable FWB 300S. Mike, if you're interested in owning one, I have a beautiful example available for sale. if not then that price is a bit strong and I hate to say it

a complete 100% condition and the blue book shows them with sights, lists them at 750.00

they came with a 6705 rear sight and they are easy to find on Egun in Germany, it's just a little work

On my behalf , no , the rifle is like the picture , no open sights. Just scope and base and rings. Yes , the value would probably suffer , but how many are out there ? Not for sale anyhow. My pushing 70 year old eyes would not be work with the Olympic open sights. Scope for me !  It is a unique rifle anyhow. Love it !

the front sight you have pictured, that looks like the sight off a Diana model 75 TO1, they were also used on Kimber 82 .22lr rifles and use 15.9mm inserts, maybe I'm wrong

it's a beautiful rifle but I'm not sure how it would get along with my 3  Diana 75's LOL

No problemo Mike.  It sounds like we're in the same boat -- I've been in "buy mode" and find that I've purchased more than I can fit into the gun safe!  So with recent purchases, I have to sell off a few of them.  I hate to do it but I'm NOT going to store them in the closet.  Owning two of this model, I was going to sacrifice one -- the MUCH better looking one.  The other isn't quite as beautiful but they both shoot one pellet on top of another.

Actually, I've owned this rifle for one year and it's the first time I've even unwrapped the sights.  My 55-year old eyes need a scope to shoot well.  I have a Diana 75 T01 Universal (scoped) so I'll have to compare the front sights.  I love the classic match air rifles.  It boggles my mind that they shoot as well as they do with the technology they had back then; those engineers and the men who built the rifles definitely knew what they were doing.  The groups from these 30-40 air rifles don't look any larger than some of my current PCP rifles!

I just saw your amended post.  Please forgive me for not remembering you without your last name.  You're right, I did speak to a few Yellow Forum members about the cracked stock on my Diana 75 T01 Universal.  David Slade repaired the stock for me and while the repair isn't invisible, it doesn't bother me because the repair is solid and the rifle shoots so well.  We had a few pretty good snow days in Chicago but hopefully, it's all behind us this winter.  Looking forward to Spring and Spring Training for the Cubbies.  I don't know if you're a baseball fan but with the signing of Yu Darvish, the pitching rotation looks solid!

I went back to the Yellow Forum archives and sho 'nuff, you had some very kind and encouraging words!  I'm glad one of us still has a great memory (hint -- it's not me)!  ?
