I wonder if my .22 UK Webley Patriot could muscle those down range. My airgun buddy Paul Self is pushing 14.3gr Crosmans at 970fps with his Walther Talon (Hatsan 125) with a lube job and a Maccari piston seal. The Patriot is top dog in .25 but is not as efficient in .22. Without my chrony, I'm guessing it will push the 14.3s at around 930-940fps at best, now that I'm at sea level. And my .22 is an extremely well-tuned gun but so incredibly smooth shooting, I've decided not to go to extremes as far as power. In .25 you can tune for both power and a smooth shot cycle.

No PCP' yet, is that heavy pellet gonna hurt my springers?!? or just not work well? I didn't think about that, just saw a new pellet and wanted to play. I guess I'll run them through my 2200 pumper for the chrony tests today.

FWIW here are my test results.:thumb: I used CPHP's as the comparison pellet at 14.7gr and the Monster at 25.4 gr.
Crosman 2200M pumper@ 10 pumps for all shots
CPHP--------------------- Monster

Pretty much useless in the pumper, the CPHP's were flush when fired into a pine board, the Monsters had half the pellet sticking out.
With the RS 2 however, The Monster's even with the 250 less fps blew out the back of a 3/4" pine board doing more damage than the CPHP. In the pic's of the board the Monster is on the left, The pellet pic shows a CPHP on the left, an unfired monster and a fired Monster.The Monster is a long pellet, the skirt stuck out silghtly when I loaded them in the RS2, it didn't stick out enough to cause problems tho.

No mods, I did a trigger polish and a lube.:thumb:
