I finally received my order from pyramid and in it was the much awaited rws hobby pellet. These are in .22 cal and weigh just 11.9gr. I had wanted to try them in my CO2 2260 as every other pellet i've tried has been a flop with the exception of the walmart daisy wadcutter. The light weight was attractive to as i'm trying to inch this gun close to 700fps and it just wasn't going to happen with 14+ grainers.
Just wanted to let anyone know who has not used these before, well worth trying in lower powered guns. They look like the old beemans i used to get in the 80's, shiny and perfect. No edges or slag, clean and no defects. Even prettier than the JSB's inmo. They are the most accurate i've shot through this gun yet, they actually give me hope for it's future. 5 shot 1/2" groups @25yards are now a reality and fliers have become 99% nonexistent. Not breathtaking groups i know but if you'd only seen some of my results with other pellets you'll know why i'm happy with that.
Last thing i want to mention is how they absolutely collapse upon impact. Over-penetration could never be a problem in a hunting application and 100% energy WILL be impacted on the target....Now where are the darned starlings...:banana039:
Most pellets were around .27-.30 after retreival from a cardboard backing.
