new to the forum and to air gunning. i recently purchased a Gamo Bigcat1200 and am in the process of tricking it out to my liking.....(have)GRT-III trigger, Leapers 3-9X40 Full Size AO Mil-dot, stock mounted detatchable bi-pod. i have shot most of the PBA ammo that came with the gun and was happy with the grouping. i went out and bought more PBA and a tin of CPHP. my scope was zero'd for the PBA and found when i shot the lead HP they were low and to the left, both 10 and 25yrds. is this normal? do i have to pick one pellet or another? I zero'd the HP and can hit a quarter size dot with them @ 25....

IIRC, pba is light pellet and and the cushioning effect needed to prevent piston slam is lacking when using lighter than 7grains and over 10 grains. You can use those pellets but not all the time. Piston & seal premature failure is inevitable when use regularly.
Yes it is normal. If you get another, different pellet, they will most likely impact in a different location than the others you've tried... but maybe not. I also have a Big Cat and it likes CPHP's fine, which is fine with me as they are cheap and easy to come by. If they perform at a level you are happy with, I would use them and call it good. use bi pods wisely also these guns shoot very differently when shot from a bi pod or artillery hold , welcome:thumb:
