storm xt .22 cal conversion

so i want do some stuff to my storm xt and i heard that the storm and quest are the same gun basicaly right so could i buy a crosman quest 800 barrel and put it on the storm????????????????

Why not just order a 0.22 barrel direct from Crosman USA? IMO it's a cheaper path to take.

well iwas gann order a replacemnt crosman quest 800 .22 barrel from crosman for $14 + $4 shipping but will the barrel fit in the storm xt???????????????

Based on their parts manual the only difference is the size of the bore so I am assuming that it would fit. The manual holds the same part numbers all through out except for the barrel assembly and the piston spring.

The part number for the 0.177 barrel assembly is B19-3-01-100, for the 0.22 it is B19-3-01-100-5.5.

The part number for the compression tube assembly is singular so I would also assume that it can accommodate the same barrel assembly even if it is a 0.177 or a 0.22 caliber.

Better yet try to contact Beth McClung of Crosman and confirm the information. She can accommodate any query regarding the regular air rifle models of Crosman except the PCP's.

I have the faintest idea, Sir. But since they are using a different piston spring for a 0.22 barrel I would assume a velocity value somewhere in between 750 - 810 FPS depending on the pellet you use. Wait for some more time and others will surely chime in for a more detailed response to your query. :cheers:

Not available! But, she checked into it....put me on hold....then she informed me how they have 10 on order, but it will be 8 weeks-ish.

With Storm XT's flying off Wally World shelves for $54, I figured someone else may find this info useful.

Are ALL BAM B19 actions with difffrent stocks & sites for Crosman..
Go to Crosman online manuals and you will fined alot of the parts numbers start with B19...

So in short..YES the barrels will be interchangable...

Barrel bore is different so no problem no premature stress. I have a dual barrel RS2 and you can change the barrel with a twist of a set screw...out comes the barrel. I find the .22 a lot smother than the .177.

I called about the same thing a few weeks ago. After being on hold for about 20 minutes, the part number in the online manual is wrong. To save the headache for anybody else......where the last numbers are "5.5" is should be "5-5". And they were out of stock and didn't even have any on order, but after reading arbantelope post, I'll need to call back soon and put one on hold. Not as expensive as I thought either, about $25. Using chairgun, since I know the FPS of my Rem. Vantage, 985 FPS with a 7.9g pellet, it is saying that in a .22 it should shoot around 750-780 FPS with a 14.3g pellet

A .22 pellet has a bigger surface area so in fact it is easyer for the air on the same pressure to push...

It's been 8 weeks, and Crosman has the .22 barrel assemblies in stock now.
